Tim Fogarty - Guitar and Bass Lessons

Tim Fogarty is a Guitar and Bass instructor at Smith Whitley Music.  Originally from Southern California, Tim has been with Smith Whitley since 1995, and has been playing for 22 years and teaching for the last 12 years.  Along with Smith Whitley, Tim has also been a guitar instructor at Guilford Tech Community College.

His specialties include Improv, Funk, Reggae, World Music, Jam, Ska, Rock, and Metal.

Tim has played in such bands as Avitas, Silence The Sky, Mars Bound Mind, Slow and Lowdown, and The Nectar Unit.

"I began playing guitar at the age of 12, and haven't looked back since.  I love playing and teaching music because the learning never stops.  Music is a neverending quest for new styles, techniques, and knowledge.  The rewards and challenges are endless, and most of all I like sharing it with others."
